The Kia Telluride wins AJAC Best Large Utility Vehicle in Canada for 2023

The Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) just released their winners for 2023!


“AJAC journalists submitted more than 1,700 ballots based on real-world test drives and produced this list of winners presented today in collaboration with the Montreal International Auto Show, ” said Michel Crépault, AJAC president. “In producing these results, our journalist members demonstrated fierce dedication to their craft, informing Canadian drivers of the vehicles worthy of their purchase consideration in 2023.”


The great news for all Kia fans is that our own 2023 Telluride Wins best uitility vehicle in Canada for the third year from the Automobile Journalists Association.

Performance

Power comes from a 291-hp 3.8LV6 mated to an eight-speed automatic (not coincidentally the same powertrain found in Hyundai’s Palisade crossover). The Telluride offers four different modes from which to choose from, depending on road and weather conditions: Smart, Eco, Sport and Comfort, each using different settings for powertrain, drivetrain, and steering effort mapping. In addition to the four regular drive modes, drivers can select from two different settings, Snow and AWD Lock, for specific driving conditions.

Practicality

Touted as bold, capable and comfortable, not to mention the largest vehicle Kia has ever built, Telluride was designed and is built in the U.S., providing seating for eight. Inside, the 2022 Telluride adds a larger 10.25-inch navigation display, fully automatic temperature control and highway driving assist, as well as navigation-based Smart Cruise Control-Curve.

Telluride is offered in four trims ranging from the $46,495 EX to the $56,195 Limited Nightsky.
