Kia Canada is proud to announce a record-breaking month in May 2024 for electric vehicle (EV) sales, with 1,899 units sold, marking a 255% increase over May 2023. Leading the charge is Kia’s flagship EV6, with 887 units sold, followed by the EV9 with 515 units, and the Niro EV with 497 units. The surge in sales is widespread, with notable increases in Quebec (+352%), British Columbia (+117%), Ontario (+113%), Alberta (+130%), and New Brunswick (+283%). EVs accounted for 23% of Kia Canada’s total sales in May.
Building on last year’s 202% increase in EV sales over 2022, Kia Canada delivered 7,883 electric vehicles in 2023, setting a company record. This year, Kia has already achieved 78% of 2023’s total EV sales with 6,138 units sold, indicating a strong year ahead.
