Revving Up Success: Kia Canada Shatters Annual Sales Record Before Year-End!

Kia Canada achieves a historic annual sales milestone, surpassing its previous record by delivering 79,199 units in 2023, well before the year's end. This remarkable accomplishment reflects a 26.1% increase over the same period last year and exceeds the sales record set in 2021.

Among the top-performing models in 2023, the Kia Seltos leads with 17,886 units sold, followed by the Sportage at 14,653 and the Forte at 10,356. All three models have achieved their best-ever year-to-date sales.

Kia Canada's commitment to electrification is evident in the outstanding performance of its electric vehicles (EVs). Electric vehicle sales have nearly tripled year-to-date over 2022, reaching a YTD increase of 193.1% across the EV lineup. Notable contributions come from the Niro EV, with 3,885 units sold, and the EV6, with 2,678 units sold year-to-date.

As part of Kia's Plan S strategy, the brand is dedicated to expanding its electrified vehicle portfolio. This year, Kia will introduce the EV9, the first mass-market all-electric 3-row SUV, complementing the existing EV6 and Niro EV models.

Elias El-Achhab, VP and COO of Kia Canada, emphasizes the brand's evolution and substantial growth. He states, "Our electrified vehicle sales are paving the way for another year of success that will see us end 2023 on a high note."
